Travelers Insurance

NYT article - June 2020
"Cancel for any Reason" CFAR travel insurance is expensive, and usually you get half of the insured amount back.  If you're not certain you're going to travel, it's best to wait to book airline and lodging until you're positive that you're going to travel.

Villa di Piazzano.  A MUST STAY, former Cardinal's hunting lodge.  Great food, farm-like atmosphere, friendly staff, free parking, lovely room, OK WiFi, great breakfast, lunch, dinner.  Nice nearby wine tours.  Pool not heated, no swimming beginning Sept.  1.

VENICE - Hotel Flora, near San Marco, discounted parking in garage.  Take water bus through the Grand Canal.  Rooms 3 and 32 are the best rooms.

SALZBURG - Die Blaue Gans Art Hotel.  Our room, the Maison, was 1,500 sq feet.  Quirky art, large living room, bedroom on second floor of room, small kitchen.  Perfect location, with discounted parking across the street.

ROTHENBURG OB DER TAUBER Silence Burg Hotel.  Lovely, good breakfast, nice area on the Romantic Road.

HEIDELBERG Zum Ritter Georg - on the pedestrian road, but OK to drive up and unload.  Heidelberg good for 1-2 days, maybe stretch to 3 days if going in summer, and you can take a river boat trip.

ESSEN Movenpick Hotel, across from train station.  Lovely businessman's hotel, with excellent service, large rooms, nearby walking to shopping and restaurants.

Bill & Amy Welch

My husband Bill and I built CASA PAROTA in 1996.

We scoured the area from Mismaloya to Litibu looking for property that was near boating.  Little did we know then that this north area of Banderas Bay was to become Riviera Nayarit and THE up-and-coming area of Puerto Vallarta.

We are delighted with our investment and the infrastructure that is rapidly arriving to the La Cruz area.

The new La Cruz marina was dedicated in 2010 by Mexican President Felipe Calderon.  The marina is first class with all the amenities of any marina in the world - shipyard, restaurants, fresh fish market, and charters.

We used to travel to Puerto Vallarta regularly for dinner, now we have many lovely places to dine and hear live music.
